2010-2011 First District YAC Officers

Commissioner
Name: Vanessa Florez
High School: Norte Vista
Grade: 11
Why I enjoy being a part of YAC: I love and enjoy working with the community and making it a better place for all of its residents. It gives me pride to be able to say that I have helped improve my community.
Future Aspirations:I would like to be a professional script-writer of film-maker. I would also like to attend USC’s School of Cinematic Arts.

Co-Commissioner
Name: Simran Bohgunh
High School: Citrus Hill
Grade: 11
Why I enjoy being a part of YAC: it is a chance to improve my community and meet new people.
Future Aspirations: I am not too sure, but I definitely want to attend UCLA or Berkeley.

Secretary
Name: Jocelyn Campos

Why I enjoy being a part of YAC: I like feeling involved in my community, and it gives me something to look forward to. Also, I enjoy meeting new people and playing an important role in making a difference for the youth in my community, Riverside.
Future Aspirations:
An area of interest includes CSI and forensics type work. I want to find a good job and live comfortably with children.

Parliamentarian
Name: Haleigh Anderson

Why I enjoy being a part of YAC: I enjoy playing a role in the community and helping my city. And the group is so amazing! I have made so many friends from so many schools.
Future Aspirations: I plan on studying to receive my BSN in nursing. I would like to become a global, traveling, pediatric nurse.

Historian
Name: Jazmin Lopez
High School: 12
Grade: Norte Vista
Why I enjoy being a part of YAC: My voice is finally heard, and I can help out teenagers like myself. Its nice to gather around other people that also want to make a difference.
Future Aspirations:
I would like to become a photographer, journalist or pediatrician. I would also like to graduate as Valedictorian and accepted to any of my dream schools.
