The Riverside County Youth Commission

The First District Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is made up of representatives from high schools within the First District of Riverside County; the First District County Supervisor is Bob Buster.  High schools include public, private and continuation. The council meets on a monthly basis to identify and target youth issues. The council creates a channel where youth can be heard and, more importantly, listened to.

The council was created by the Board of Supervisors to ensure that its youth has a voice in  decision making. The Youth Advisory Council is a part of Riverside County’s Youth Commission.  The Commission consists of one representative from each of the five Youth Advisory Councils. The five-member Commission meets at least quarterly.
